If your guest list is currently missing quite a few addresses, now is the PERFECT time to solicit your guests for their addresses (especially those on a “B” list) without making it seem completely obvious. With the holidays approaching, your solicitation will simply seem like you want to send them your latest cute Rudolph or Snowflake card… and not to use it for your super secret wedding plans. (insert devious laugh here)
My favorite plan of attack for my holiday card list has been the lovely, and completely free Plaxo. Your address book is stored online (so it’s accessible from any computer in the world) and can quickly and easily be synched with almost every other address book out there!
But where Plaxo beats the competition is their incredibly simple “update request” form. Plaxo sends a nice little email with forms built right into it where you can politely request an update of someone’s contact information. Now, the one catch is that you need their email address, and they have to respond to you, but I’ve found people to be incredibly receptive to the process. Plus it saves it all in the database for you, which helps make the process that much easier without any messy manual labor.
