This is a picture of the necklace I’m wearing for my wedding:

The necklace is a glossy pearl hanging from hand-patinaed bronze oak leaves on a 14k gold chain. It is part of Michael Michaud’s “Silver Seasons” line, where he makes jewelry almost exactly to mother nature’s works of art.
I love it, and fell in love with it immediately when I first saw it. This dangling piece of metal is what started changing our wedding from a plain ol’ November wedding to a rustic fete. Oddly enough, it was the first thing for the wedding I bought, without even having a dress. Whoops. Probably not the best way to go about planning a wedding, but I love it. The acorn is supposed to symbolize a new life, and I couldn’t imagine anything else I’d want to wear when Mr. Kiwi and I start our new life.
