Something I haven’t talked much about is our honeymoon(s). Wanna know why? Because I have nothing to do with them!!!

Yes, like so many other brides I am leaving all honeymoon planning up to my FI. It’s easier this way…he gets to be in charge of something, I have one less thing to worry about, and we’ll all be happier.

Only one problem: I want to help!

Right now we think we’re going to take a minimoon right after the wedding, probably heading up to Minnesota or Mackinac Island in Michigan. Both are within easy driving distance for us, and we’ll have time for a decent vacation and still return home in time for my summer semester to start.

Then, probably in January of next year (Jan 2008) we’ll take our “real” honeymoon: a cruise heading someplace warm. Neither of us have ever cruised before, but thanks to snow_blossom’s *excellent* entries (Part I, Part II) on the topic we’re really psyched about the prospect of going.

But I’m not the type of person who can usually just sit back and let someone else take over, so let me tell you: it’s hard doing this regarding the honeymoon! But I’m trying my best. So far I’ve resisted the urge to read *much* about stuff to do in Mackinac Island or various Caribbean cruise packages…but as I cross off more and more from my own to-do list, it’s getting harder to resist helping Mr. Blueberry with his list :).
