But seriously, how excited am I to be a Weddingbee blogger?! I got the official email when I was at school (I’m a teacher, not a student) and you couldn’t wipe the jubilant grin from my face. Seriously though, I’m really excited to be a part of this community and share my inner ‘Zilla with everyone. Equally important, I’m thrilled to represent Los Angeles (holla!!).

If I had to give a “theme” for our wedding (though the word “theme” can be evocative of childrens’ cartoon character parties), it would probably be “art deco inspired,” “vintage elegance,” “Faberge egg,” or something along those lines. We are getting married in July 2007, but shockingly, not 7/7/7!

Another quasi-unique fact about us is that we are actually planning a wedding all over again. We were originally set to be married in June of this year, but postponed pretty close to our wedding date. Now, we’re starting fresh…not reinventing the wheel for this whole second wedding planning process, but enough new details so that it doesn’t feel stale.

OK, done for now, but you can look forward to more pearls of wisdom from me in the future. And yes, I was stoked about being Miss Pearl for all the little puns I can make. I’m punny, sue me
