I learned something amazing at Mr. Blueberry’s family Thanksgiving: two of his relatives are going to co-host a St. Louis bridal shower for me!
I hadn’t been expecting any showers, quite honestly. I mean, I hoped I might get one, but I didn’t want to get my hopes up about it. It hadn’t even occurred to me that anyone from Mr. Blueberry’s side would like to throw me a shower–so I’m really really honored! I don’t know if I’ll be getting a shower in Kansas City or not–no one has mentioned it, and I don’t want to make any assumptions or requests that would burden any of my friends or family.
The St. Louis shower will probably be over spring break, and will be for the women of Mr. Blueberry’s family, my mom and grandma, and just a few of my good friends in St. L (who probably couldn’t make it to a shower in KC). I can’t wait to see what they come up with, and am absolutely beside myself with excitement! Carol and Karen are super nice to do this for me–especially since they’ve been plotting it for a while now :).
I really feel like I’m being welcomed into Mr. Blueberry’s family–I couldn’t ask for better relatives-in-law!

Isn’t it awesome? I got the same news a few weeks ago. There are a ton of aunts on my FFIL’s side, and they want to have a shower for me, too. I thought the exact same thing: I’ve got the best future in-laws!

Lixue–yep! I did find an amazing photographer–her name is Kristy Cummings, and you can check out her site at http://www.kristycummings.com. I also made a post about her work on here, not too long ago. She’s really super fantastic, and is available for nation-wide travel so I’m sure she could accomodate you in St Louis. I love her work soooo much, and she’s really laid-back and fun to work with. If you email her, tell her Miss Blueberry sent you
