Mr. Sunflower has vetoed the Antique Olive dinnerware!! Imagine my suprise - afterall, this is the same man who told me and I quote, “I don’t care what I eat off of.” Let the new search begin.
I’ve also decided on our wedding song since Mr. Sunflower feels like I should be making all of these decisions. It’s When You Say You Love Me, by Josh Groban - SO beautiful. I was pushing Van Morrison’s Crazy Love for a while, but Mr. Sunflower gets too emotional when he hears it and doesn’t want to break down into a blubbering mess during our first dance. So, Josh Groban it is - I like that song just as much though, so it’s not a huge deal. 
Does your first dance song have a special meaning? How did you choose it?
Ours will be Van Morrison’s “Into the Mystic” (I love “Crazy Love” too!). It’s one of my favorite songs and when I told FI I didn’t know if we had any one song, he said he thought Into the Mystic was it. It suits us and our relationship, so I think it’ll be perfect.

I also wanted to add that our real “song” is by either 311 or the cure, and it’s Love Song… (”Whenever I’m alone with you… you make me feel like I am free again…” or something like that. It’s kinda creepy.
i heart josh groban so much. i was thinking about using some of his songs sometime during the ceremony [the transitional part from the ceremony to the pae baek]. the song we plan on dancing to is our official song, no ordinary love. i know it’s long as eternity and it’s super sad as its about an unrequited love, but the bf likes to look at the literal meaning of the words
Mine is Josh Groban as well!!! He’s my favorite and I absolutely fell in love with “For Always,” which is a duet with Lara Fabian. It’s beautiful!
“fly me to the moon” sung by frank sinatra. it’s short and sweet. also, it took us both about two years to get to “i love you” so this is perfect for us because it is all about the different ways to say it!
My FI and I met at a concert… and the band just happens to be each of our favorites. They don’t typically have love songs though but there is 1 that we both adore and it was an obvious choice for “our song” b/c afterall… without that band, we never would have met!

We’re having The Book of Love by Peter Gabriel - It’s from Shall We Dance which is the first movie that we went to together. It’s our song and incredibly sweet…you should listen to it!
I LOVE the cure song! My MOH and I call it the “Sex Song” because it sounds kinda like the background to a porn movie…:-)
i absolutely love josh groban. as a matter of fact, my bf and i will be going to his concert in march of next year in la. his voice is simply amazing!! i’m downloading that song you mentioned right not because i haven’t heard it before. i’m sure it’s beautiful.
Our song is also “Love Song” by the Cure– Death Cab also has a sweet version of it. But our first dance song was “The Luckiest” which was a song off one of the love mixes he made me. It was a little more first dancey than Love Song.

Dave Matthews, Steady as We Go is our song. We originally chose a Michael Buble song, You and I, but as time went on I didn’t feel like it was “the” song. When I listened to Steady As We Go and really paid attention to the words it made me cry. When I played it for my fiance we knew that was the one…
i love josh groban’s voice! i have all of his cds. he just came out with a new cd. i know that i will be incorporating some josh groban in our wedding somewhere, but we haven’t decided what song or for what part of the wedding ceremony or reception.

My choice is “I Could Not Ask for More” by Edwin McCain. I think the lyrics are perfect! We havent decided 100%, but since its my top pic, FI usually defers to me on things like this, hehe =)
