Miss Plumeria has been working on the new gemstone icons (check out Miss Pearl! :)). I’ve also been working with another artist on a snazzier Mrs. Bee icon. These are some drafts she sent recently.

Which one do you like best and why? Would you change anything?

I like 2, because the bee looks like it’s flying. It also looks snazzier than the one you have now.

I like number one, because she has a comedic look to her, and that heart she’s holding is adorable. My second fave was number 4 (again, the more bee-looking one) but the hearts trailing from the bum aren’t so appealing. The third one is cute, I think the wings should be on the top of the bee, it’s more aesthetically appealing to me. Maybe number one with the dashes trailing her like in number 2?

I like 1 and 4, since they have faces and hearts. Though I think I like the wings in blue better. Should the bee have a mouth?

I like #2 the best. I love the subtlety of the heart-shaped wings, and it’s a cleaner, more sophisticated look. If you want a more obvious heart, maybe the “beeline” could be in the shape of one.

#1, because it looks less like a striped bean.

I sorta like #4, but the hearts trailing out…they sorta look like farts. Maybe if they were in a different position?

#1 - i like the ones with the heads better than those without and I’m a sucker for it being more symetrical than the other one with a head
