Mrs. Kiwi, Los Angeles Age and Occupation in 06: 27, Bookkeeper Fiance's Age and Occupation: 27, P.E. Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!
About Mrs. Kiwi

You and Me (Me and Him?)

November 27th, 2006 @ 10:29 am by Mrs. Kiwi

The other day I was talking to my Dad on the phone and a song came on in the car while he drove. It was a song he had previously sent me via email because he liked it, and I had already heard it many times before that. Actually, I had already put it on my iPod. It was You and Me by Lifehouse (click for video).

You and Me

What day is it? And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive
I can’t keep up and I can’t back down
I’ve been losing so much time

Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it’s you and me and all of the people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you

All of the things that I want to say just aren’t coming out right
I’m tripping on words
You’ve got my head spinning
I don’t know where to go from here

Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it’s you and me and all of the people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you

There’s something about you now
I can’t quite figure out
Everything she does is beautiful
Everything she does is right

Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to lose
And it’s you and me and all of the people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you
and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it’s you and me and all of the people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you

What day is it?
And in what month?
This clock never seemed so alive

Now, while this isn’t a blatant father/daughter dance song, he loves it and I love it. What do you think? Beware, there will be a ton of other songs I am considering, so you may be bombarded by them. :)

i love that song! i saw lifehouse in concert earlier this year and they were sooooo amazing. i was in the front row and almost touched the lead singer lol.

even if the lyrics aren’t perfect, i think if it has some special meaning to you and your dad, it will be perfect as your father-daughter dance. :)

Ha ha ha, shut yer face, Bluebell!!! Yeah, I know, my death cab song is still a touchy subject with my family, who takes it SOOO literal!! The problem with my dad is, he is a SAP> He gets choked up at the drop of a hat. :)
