Rethinking Centerpieces

November 28th, 2006 @ 1:56 pm by Mrs. Orange

I have been very indecisive about a lot of things for the wedding, including our centerpieces. Please take the poll and help the Orange —

My color scheme is pink, brown, gold/champagne and ivory.

Which one would you choose?

I love #3. My only concern would be whether a mint julep cup is going to be big enough for a centerpiece.

#2 w/green flowers/leaves to match the pink in your color scheme & smaller pink roses (baby roses in a lighter pink shade or various shades of pink)

are you thinking abut making these yourself?

kp > I’m not making them myself. I’ve asked the florist about it and she just told me that “she’ll do whichever the one that is right for me.” The problem is I am not sure which one looks RIGHT for me.

Thank you everyone for the votes.

Lisianthus would work beautifully w/ viburnum and hypericum like in this bouquet.

I’m not sure if they are available in the fall though…

I vote for the third one. However, I feel like something is missing but I don’t know what it is yet.

i’m using the same colors for my spring wedding! i’d go with #1 or #3 with more roses.

I like # 1 for your color scheme with some spray pink roses or peonies. Although, i’m biased with berries on # 3. -)

I think you could definitely do these yourself or have a friend/family member do them for you who likes floral arranging. I did one a couple of months back for my uncle’s wedding and they looked identical to the ones you have on #1 and #3. They’re very very easy but i would recommend they take floral classes just to learn the techniques. It’s super duper easy and fun with doing small centerpeices.

Good luck!

With the gold/champagne part of your color scheme, you might want to think about finding a similar style container in a gold or antiqued gold finish.

all of these seem so understated….my suggestion would be to go bigger =D

I like #3 — the berries are so cute in it! Hope we aren’t confusing you too much! Just goes to show that whatever option you choose, people will think your flowers are lovely!
