My wedding dress was crafted by Le Spose di Gio, an Italian designer. The dress was evocative of everything I wanted to be as a bride- feminine, elegant, and lovely. It was simple yet unique… timeless yet modern. Best of all, the silk was so soft, light, and airy… wearing it on my wedding day was an absolute dream! (Can you tell that I adored my dress? 
)
The style of my dress was E36. It’s essentially a charmeuse dress with an overlay of chiffon on the bodice and two overlays of organza on the skirt. It has a wide V-neck (tip of the shoulder), a dropped waist, bridal buttons along the back, and a semi-cathedral train. The silk is luxurious, the construction is impeccable, and the fit is so comfortable.

The decolletage is beautiful!!! In my opinion, Italian bridal designers like Le Spose di Gio and Alberta Ferretti are the best in the industry.

I remember seeing that picture of the model and didn’t think twice about using that dress. But when I saw your wedding pictures, I immediately emailed my mom to see if it was too late to change my dress! hahaha.. unfortunately it was too late. Congratulations btw! Your wedding looked amazing!!
I absolutely love your dress and you are just gorgeous! I went to the website and it says that the dresses are only sold in specific shops in Italy. Did you order yours from the website or a catalog or did you find it at a bridal store? If you did order it, how did you feel about ordering something you never saw in person? I am obsessed with this designer from the website (and I pretty much hate every dress I see) and want to find out how I can get one of these dresses. Help please!

There are a handful of salons in the US that carry Le Spose di Gio (although not every style you see on their website). In NYC, there are two stores that do- Mark Ingram’s Bridal Atelier and Kleinfelds. I know there are some more in other areas, but I’m not sure where. I actually emailed the contact listed on their website and asked for a list of stores in the US where I could find their dresses.. and they emailed me back within a week or so.
You should DEFINITELY try on a dress before purchasing it. I’ve fallen in love with dresses from photos alone.. and then when I actually tried it on they just looked horrid on me. If there isn’t a place that carries the LSdG dress you’re interested in, use the photo as inspiration and show it to your consultant when you shop. Good luck!!

I’m glad I came across someone who purchased a le Spose di Gio dress. I am considering purchasing dress N5. I would like to ask you how much you paid for your dress. I have not seen a price range for a le Spose di Gio dress anywhere online, so maybe you could help me? Also, how did you decide on your bridesmaid dresses? I am having a difficult time find one to match. My wedding will be in the winter, and I will be having a fur wrap and my bridesmaids will have fur stoles. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I just found this dress in a magazine and I love it! I am interested to know how much it cost and if alterations were difficult. Also in the magazine she has a flower at the hip…was the flower poorly done and was it easy to take off?

I have a wedding in June 2009 and I definitely will buy this dress (white, size 4). I’m going to sell it after all. Will anyone be interested to buy it from me? I live in Europe, so probably I’ll buy it in Bologne (Italy), but it wouldn’t be a problem to bring it to States.
i just got married June 8th 2008 in Hawaii and wore that exact dress (blush color) and yes it truly is amazing. You feel like a princess and you become completely wrapped in the beauty with all the different materials and the flowy feel of the dress. I love my dress so much and loved wearing it on my special day.
The dress costs $5000 and i am willing to sell mine for the right price. It’s a size 7/6(not sure) US but needs to be tried on first, it was altered a little and they make the dress from scratch according to your exact measurements then it’s shipped to you from Italy once they are done making it.
It’s been super cleaned and is really like brand new, it looks just like i got it when i first tried it on. Let me know if you are interested to buy it and then we can talk price.
This dress is perfect for someone who isn’t into wearing a white puffy cake like dress. It’s sexy, sophisticated, romantic, dreamy….just stunning all around.

Just wanted to mention that I do not have a dress to sell. I sold mine back in ‘07 to a very nice couple who I hope is doing well.
Back in 2006, the E36 was available in NYC at both Kleinfeld’s and Mark Ingram. I was actually able to get a list of US stores that sold the LSdG line by emailing the LSdG website and asking nicely.

I purchased the #5 from Isis Bridal in San Diego for my wedding in July. May sell it after that. It is white and is a Euro size 10 which is about a size 6 here. I will only be wearing it for about 3 hours. There is no reception so it should be in perfect condition. Let me know if anyone is interested in buying it! Thanks.
i just got married in Hawaii in April. I am selling my E36 dress, color blush, which was bought new. I am size 2/4 (was a little smaller on the day but the dress is perfect if you shrink or grow a litte because of the elastic in the bodice) I am 5′4″.
