Bridesmaid Gifts

December 1st, 2006 @ 4:57 pm by Mrs. Emerald

I found the perfect gift for my bridesmaids!! For $45, this Fragrance Gift Set from Sephora comes with 10 samples of their top selling perfumes and a voucher for $45 that can be redeemed for a full size bottle of any one of the included samples (slightly limiting, but I think this has a good selection?) I always thought perfume would be a lovely gift, but it’s such a personal thing for everyone. This seems like the perfect solution!!

I want to create a gift bag for my girls so they have fun things to open. I’m also thinking of getting them one of these cute clutches I saw at Target:

Would this pink one clash with their red dresses? I like the vintage styling… but maybe it looks too old fashioned. Or perhaps this simple champagne colored, satin pleated clutch.

If I got this one, I would buy little rhinestone monogram pins of each of their first initials to jazz it up a bit. Anyone know where I can find these online? I am having no luck finding inexpensive ones and I know they used to really popular a while back.

I’d also like to get them some basic flip flops so they can kick off their high heels and dance!

And lastly, some ivory pashminas! I’ll probably get inexpensive ones off ebay or something. Ok, maybe I’m going overboard on gifts here - I want to spend around $100 per girl. We shall see how thrifty I can be!! ;)

What are you getting your bridesmaids?

I bought a whole bunch of pashminas on Canal Street in New York. They were only $5 each. Probably not the best quality but still very sufficient.

I got them an jewelry box from redenvelope (engraved w/ a saying that fit them), earrings to wear, and a spa neck pillow and eye mask set. I’m seriously thinking about the ebay pashmina idea too, but I need to decide if it’ll actually be cool enough for them to use it. I’d really rather get a silk shawl like these, but I don’t know. The dress is an olive green color, and the flowers are red poppies. I was trying to stay away from getting black, but I might resort to it.

I got them cashmere shawls from Ann Taylor. I needed something warm to wear anyway since I get cold easily, and I can’t leave them cold and shivering and be the only one wearing a cashmere shawl!!

The perfume is a great idea! I know I love smell good stuff, and since they get to pick it, they’ll love it! :) I WANT one of those Target purses!

I just went to Target to check out the pink clutch. The pink clutch isn’t pink! It’s more of a mauve or a light plum. It’s a bummer for me because if they looked as pictured they would have gone great with my girls brown dresses for my pink and brown wedding.
