Little Touches

December 1st, 2006 @ 1:04 pm by Mrs. Plum

Inspired by a knottie bio I recently found through a WeddingBee post, I ordered personalized matches and napkins. I realize that I will get eye-rolls, groans, and people yelling at me for “wasting money” on “useless/unnecessary” items, but I want it and I already bought it. :P

Ordered from For Your Party

They were relatively cheap - the matchbooks were $0.42 each and the cocktail napkins came out to $0.27 each.

Yes! I am a copycat! I can’t help it that she has the same wedding colors as me or that she chose one of my favorite fonts, cezanne! :P

These are just the instant proofs on the vendor website, but I will definitely post pictures when they actually come in. I can’t wait! I’m such a wedding-nerd! :(

Yay! Cezanne again! I love it- I see it everywhere and it so weird that I work for that small company that has a font everywhere :)

Don’t worry; I got them too :-D But we’re interspersing the personalized ones with unprinted ones, and the matchbooks are pretty necessary for the sparklers :-)

don’t worry about being a copycat. no one will know. a lot of ideas are based of something else we’ve seen

Um, LOVE THESE! Went to the site and can’t figure out how to add in the design element. I’m a dork! What am I doing wrong? Is it more $$$ to add a design or the same as just text???

I think the general rule is order 2 to 3 per guest, but i’m just using these at the bar, so I ordered about 100 of each. I’m having a very small wedding :)

It’s kind of confusing (the ordering process) at first, but you should do it slowly step by step to make sure you get exactly what you want.

The design element should be one of the first things you are able to pick, right after the type of napkin.

My mom ordered us coasters and dessert and beverage napkins from For Your Party for us. The napkins are lovely!

Like Miss Blueberry, we’re interspersing ours with solid napkins to lessen the cost.

I was a little disappointed in the coasters, but they were a total splurge and unnecessary anyway, so they’ll be a cute additional detail.

Since my mom ordered them without consulting me, I couldn’t be particular about how they looked - if you do it yourself, I highly recommend designing a few different styles before making a decision.

Miss Orange–I heard 4-5 per guest for a heavy hors’dourves reception, so we got 300 printed ones and will prob. be buying 1-200 non-printed ones—the “4-5″ number seemed high to me, but it’s better safe than sorry! (Oh, and we’re having a 125-person wedding)
