I just received my Pottery Barn Gift Book catalog and I must say that it’s chock full of timeless, elegant and affordable items that’d make wonderful wedding party gifts. All their jewelry boxes look so luxe.

Hi Mrs. Bee, I am wondering if you can write about alternative dresses, i.e. wearing a bridesmaid dress in cream or white instead of ordering a traditional gown.

Also, as a non-sample size BTB, I find it extremely frustrating when I go to stores and they only have sample sizes!!! Some of the suggestions I have gotten are to “hold it up and you can get a feel for what it looks like.” If I am going to be spending a lot of money on any item of clothing (nevermind a wedding dress), I’m not just going to “guess” how it looks. Any suggestions on what stores to look at? I’m in the Chicago, IL area. Thanks!

Love that catalog - my fiance just ordered the monogrammed leather catchalls for his guys - a steal at $35 and no shipping/handling - monogrammed, too!

i also just picked up the sterling monogrammed tea pot for my aunt and my mom - i should just sign over my paycheck to PB!
