Eternity Gowns

December 4th, 2006 @ 7:31 pm by Mrs. Blueberry

I recently came across this site and thought I’d share it with you all. Eternity Gowns specalizes in bridal, evening, and prom dresses for the Mormon community. But they have cute gowns no matter what your religion is. :) Best of all, they all have straps and many have sleeves–perfect for those of us who aren’t especially fond of our arms, or are a bit too well-endowed to comfortably wear strapless dresses.

Here are a couple of Eternity’s designs:

They even have some evening gowns which could make cute bridesmaid’s dresses:

Certainly they’re not for everyone, but I think this site goes to show that you don’t have to limit yourself to the small handful of strapless styles at most bridal shops, if strapless isn’t your thing. :)

Wow, I’m not of the Mormon religion, but some of those are really cute. It’s great that designers are starting to realize that ladies have different standards of modesty, regardless of the reasons, and are making pretty wedding gowns that are appropriate. Thanks for sharing!

What makes a dress Mormon or not? I don’t get it.

Lauren, the dress itself is not Mormon — it has no religion. The dress is made by designers that are making gowns with the requirements that Mormon temples have for modesty (no strapless, sleeveless, etc).

Miss Blueberry, Jasmine Bridal also lets you select some of their best-selling gowns to modify. You can change the neckline, add sleeves, etc. Good option as well for those who like their designs, but again, want a bit more modesty.

Wow! I really like 8506. I’m a little bit self-concious about some scarring I have on my shoulders from a car accident and subsequent scarring, but am having a beach wedding. This dress seems like the perfect option for me. We are altering the hemline a bit; however, it still will keep the overall look of the dress.

I’m glad to see it linked on weddingbee–not that I don’t love all the strapless, backless and halter gowns–it just isn’t the right choice for my body, or my self esteem.

Nice dresses! I’m not into the strapless dresses, and EVERYTHING is strapless. Thanks for the suggestions.

I LOVE eternity gowns! I bought this wedding dress from them:

And two weeks after I bought it.. the price dropped $200. I was outraged! I lost so much money! But I called the company and they put the money back on my card immediately! They were amazing! I would buy from them again and again! =)

I really like the gowns from eternity, but I was wondering if anyone knows how much they cost. Are they really expensive?

This site shows all the prices. If you live in an area that does not have a store that carries the Eternity line, you can order from the site. There is shipping of $15 and a $20 restocking fee if you return the dress.
