Jewelry

Now that I have my dress, I’ve been putting a lot of thought into the right accessories to complete my ensemble. I think jewelry that is deemed “wedding jewelry” is always ridiculously marked up, nor can you generally wear it after your wedding either. So I think I want to go with my mom’s favorite jewelry designer, Judith Jack. There are no diamonds, rhinestones, bling, and it’s not super pricey… but her pieces are elegant and wearable, with marcasite detailing. They also have the vintage-y vibe that I think would go perfectly with my lace dress.

Notice the pearl trend I got going on - I love pearls, they are so classic!! So this is what I have in mind:

Earrings: simple drop faux-pearl earrings (Nordstroms, $125)

Bracelet: I’ve seen tons of knottie pics where the brides have on gorgeous bracelets, and I wanna be one too!! (saw this on ebay with a Buy Now price of $130)

Brooch: My satin sash needs a brooch for the center of the bow! (saw this on amazon, but it’s currently unavailable. :(

And lastly, just cuz it’s so cute, and it’s where he proposed. (ebay, $35) I would attach this to my bouquet as a lil’ bouquet charm.

Hrmmm… if I want to get all of these, it will cost upwards of $400! I don’t know if I want to spend that much… *sigh*

And not to mention, with all this jewelry don’t I just have to go with these Calvins? For another $130, it’s like a match made in accessory heaven, heh heh.

Those are cute. Another site to look at for cz /pearl type jewelry might be overstock.com. The prices tend to be a little cheaper sometimes. Sometimes anntaylor.com has interesting vintage-feel beaded pieces too.

If you don’t mind having faux pearls, then you could probably find a local jewelry craftsperson who could make those earrings and the bracelet for so much less. The findings to make those, as well as the beads/pearls are easily available.

Maybe you should try some Jewelry DIY… I think you could probably come off with the same look and no one would notice the difference.
