Remember the pretty vintage blue dresses I picked out for my bridesmaids?

Well… as of today they’ve all been marked down to either $99 and $149 on J. Crew’s website! Throw in a coupon for $20 off (DC-449), and I’ve got five bridesmaids jumping for joy about their beautiful new dresses.

These dresses hit every demand I had when I started the search 6 months ago:

1) Same color, different styles — I wouldn’t dare break my rule of buying clothing that optimizes your body shape just for the sake of uniformity. Plus, I have the added experience of seeing sorority rush outfits go horribly wrong when you expect one style to fit everyone.

2) Priced under $250 — I set a limit and stuck to it, no matter how pretty those silly dresses from Thread are!

3) Not satin - sorry… can’t do it… never ever ever…

4) an interesting blue or gold color

5) Available before March - sadly it’s right before the wallet crunch of the holidays, but it still works!

So after a rabid e-mail notice to everyone in the middle of the workday, dresses are being shipped as we speak and I can check one big giant task off my list!
