A Sneak Peek: Mrs. Snail’s Wedding

December 11th, 2006 @ 1:31 pm by Mrs. Bee

Last night Mrs. Butterfly and I (and our spouses) attended Mrs. Snail’s wedding at the Rockleigh Country Club in New Jersey. I wanted to let her give you all the details, but here’s a tiny sneak peek. ;)

Officially Mr. and Mrs. Snail! They both looked so happy all night, and they really do make a great couple. :D

The best man and maid of honor tossed feathers at the bride and groom as they walked down the aisle after the ceremony.

I have to confess why I’m writing this blog - because the cocktail hour must be blogged about. It was sick. Truly, truly sick. And I mean in a good way. 8 stations of every possible cocktail food imaginable. And if that wasn’t enough, they passed some of my favorite hors douevres like pigs in a blanket and spanakopitas. It was the most food I’ve ever seen at a wedding! 8O

The raw bar which had shrimp, crab claws, oysters, clams, caviar and more…

The vodka luge - put a shot of vodka in at the top and catch a chilled shot at the bottom.

The panini station. These were sooooo good. I posted this pic because I think the woman operating the panini press has a funny expression. :P

The cheese bar. She sliced fresh pieces right onto your plate.

The ahi tuna/salmon station.

The Mediterranean station - olives, couscous, tabouli, and hummus in giant martini glasses.

There was also a pasta station, roast beef station, shrimp/beef skewer station (all three made fresh on the spot), fried food station (calamari, chicken), veggies, fruits… I’m seriously drooling blogging this right now. But enough about food… :P

Congrats to the new Mr. and Mrs. Snail who are headed to Mexico for their honeymoon! Their wedding was a blast and I think all 300 guests would definitely agree! :)

~~~
PS - I wore Insolias in my 4″ heels last night, and boy do they work! My feet didn’t hurt at all.
