All The Little Things

December 11th, 2006 @ 2:52 pm by Mrs. Emerald

As we all invariably know, there are so many little things that are involved in wedding planning. Should I really care about all the minutiae that probably no one else will notice? No. Do I care? Yes!

For some bizarre reason, I have always thought that these “Eat, Drink & Be Married Coasters” (pic courtesy of knottie mrscrystal2006, a great bio, FYI) are just the cutest things ever. I’ve found another knottie willing to sell me brand new ones, leftover from her wedding - 100 coasters for the low, low price of $20 + $3 shipping. Do I bite? Is it worth it? Why are there so many decisions? Are these cheaper elsewhere?! I don’t feel like researching every, little, itty bitty thing…

In nonwedding related matters… if you are looking for a great, feel good, holiday movie, run out and see The Holiday (with Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law & Jack Black). In my opinion, this is the best chick flick to come along in a helluva long time! I laughed, I cried, it just made me feel so happy!! And I never knew what the fuss was about with Jude Law, but by george he was… in a word… YUMMY!!! But if you see it and you don’t agree with my opinion, I will not refund your money back, sowwy. laughing1.gif

If it is something you’ve wanted for a long time, you will probably regret not doing it. That’s not a price that will break the bank. I say go for it!

for $20? sure, why not. there’s no buyer’s remorse there.

I’d do it, but you’ll have to get more. Probably at least 2 per person. can you find more somewhere without breaking the bank? I think napkin would be more useful than coasters. People might carry napkins around, but a coast is going to be put on a table and forgotten about.

Let me guess, did you buy them from knottie ConnieJeff? I bought a 100 from her! I always thought they were adorable, but didn’t want to go out of my way to spend a lot of money on “extra stuff”. When knottie posted that she was selling them for just $23…I compared the price to another online site http://www.beau-coup.com/weddingcoasters.htm and they were $25 for 24 coasters, I bought them right away from the knottie. My bm and I plan on stamping them with something to personalize them to our wedding.

You should get them! They’re so charming and wonderful. And on another topic, I think that Jude Law is quite yummy myself…

I also bought these from a knottie (same one mentioned I’m sure) and used them for our bar and of the 100, I had about 50 leftover - we had about 150 guests. Were they worth it? YES! I even stamped starfish on them in our colors to make them even more festive (beachy wedding) - they were adorable! Go for it!
