He proposed exactly 1 year, 1 month and 6 days after our first date (it's the only part of his proposal speech that I remember), and we're planning long-distance from Los Angeles for a July wedding in my hometown of Monterey, CA. I have a passion for all things "cool, cute and quirky" and I enjoy video games, reading blogs (WeddingBee, trashy celeb, consumer & political) and crafting in my spare time, if I have any!

And If I Use That Sash…

December 19th, 2006 @ 5:13 pm by Mrs. Lemon

I have my top three brooches picked out from my own personal collection. Just like Miss Kiwi, I also have an affinity for most things Disney. Mr. Lemon and I are Disneyland fanatics (although I am by far the reigning champion of Disney SceneIt!), and I even spent a bit of time as a silly member of the fab five. Yet long before I moved to LA, my family sealed my fate with a simple nickname they bestowed soon after birth: Tink. My parents rarely refer to me by my first name, but prefer Tink or Tinker instead. I didn’t want to incorporate my namesake into the wedding except for a teeny-tiny element, and if I wear my sash, I get the perfect opportunity to do so!

Here are my choices:

Option 1

And If I Use That Sash... : wedding los angeles Tinkerbell tinkerbell.jpg

Option 2

And If I Use That Sash... : wedding los angeles Tinkerbell2 tinkerbell2.jpg

Option 3

And If I Use That Sash... : wedding los angeles Tinkerbell3 tinkerbell3.jpg

I’m leaning toward #1, since it would be on a gold sash and it’s very simple. I also like #2, since it’s just so happy. Which one do you like best?

One is soo much classier. Tink! That is soo cute. Why was I called piglet by my mom? Not cool. I also agree that number three is manic. No me gusta.

#1- It’s pretty but unobtrusive. I’m with the other posters who think #3 is slightly creepy.

#1! We love Disney too. In fact, we’re heading to Disneyworld for the second half of our honeymoon! Yep we’re hardcore fans. :)

I think that #1 is cute, and classy all in one. It’s a great idea to really personalize your wedding dress. We just shot a wedding (I’m a wedding videographer) where the bride was a huge fan of The Little Mermaid, so she had infused a little bit of Ariel into her wedding day. It was such a nice touch, and really made the day her own.

#1. #3 is creepy.

And now I’ve just noticed that nancy, the first poster, said exactly that! Hah. It is, though, something about her eyes. #2 is OK, #1 is just the nicest all round.
