Final Answer!

December 19th, 2006 @ 9:28 am by Mrs. Orange

Last month you all voted on my CP’s. Despite low votes, I chose the hydrangea plus a dozen roses for its soft but elegant style. However, I will not use a silver mint julep cup as pictured in the poll and below.

Reader K suggested that I may want to look into gold/champagne vases since they are included in my color scheme. Thanks K that’s a great suggestion! But due to my restricted budget, I chose glass instead.

I like your choice. I love hydrangea for its fullness. I’m also using that in the centerpieces and for my BM bouquet since the flower on their print dress happens to be hydrangea.

I tihnk that looks very pretty. I’m going with plain roses in a low vase myself. It’s very simple, stylish, and roses are surprisingly inexpensive. Unless the florist associated with my venue convinces me otherwise, I’m going to do my own centerpieces. (I get centerpieces with my package, but I don’t think they allow very much money.) I’d rather have the venue credit us the money, and I’ll do 16-18 roses per centerpiece, possibly with spray roses mixed in, from a grower like freshroses.com. Even I can put a bunch of roses in a vase and have it look nice.

I think this looks great. Where did you get your vases?

You can also use a gold ribbon to wrap around the glass vase if you can’t have the gold vase. I am using a wide 2″ pink ribbon accented by a thin gold ribbon.

Grace: I found the pic online …let me try to find it again. My florist will supply the glass so I wont be using another vendor for it though….

to give it little more color, you can buy ribbons and put the ribbon around the vases.

Whoohoo, I feel influential even though you didn’t use my idea. :D Heehee, this was a great pick-up in a kind of crappy evening, thanks!
