Jenny Yoo Bridesmaids

December 19th, 2006 @ 11:04 am by Mrs. Bee

I really love Jenny Yoo’s current bridesmaid dress collection. She has plenty of beautiful traditional bridesmaid styles in shantung and duchess satin, but her charmeuse and chiffon designs are what really stand out. They look more like party dresses and make you think about bridesmaids dresses in a different way.

My sister and I tried on several Jenny Yoo dresses this weekend for her wedding this June. They are all extremely beautiful although we realized, especially for the charmeuse dresses, you have to really have a great body - they show every lump and bump.

those dresses are so beautiful… might have to wear the spanx or assets (from target) to wear those dresses tho.

We used Jenny Yoo! If you fear charmeuse, there is always the good ol’ shantung silk standby. :)

I love Jenny Yoo and was absolutely heartbroken when I realized that even with bulk/early ordering discounts, they were still pretty pricey for my bridesmaids :( but for you Chicago girls, Tania (their rep here) is wonderful and you’ll get amazing service! I love her.

Ohh… we almost went with Jenny Yoo. I tried on the dress on the bottom left, and it was goregous, particularly if you have anything that remotely resembles curves. And their colours. Oh their colours are so amazing…That said, a lot of their other dresses were very hard to pull off unless you have perfectly flat abs and no butt.
How sad am I that we aren’t going with them!

i wore jenny yoo BM dresses for both my sister’s and my cousin’s wedding and they were AMAZING!!! People kept coming up to us and asking us where they were from, esp the chiffon dresses, where the hems just flutttered while we walked down the asile! They were just so different that we loved them. For my cousin’s wedding, we went with tbe eastern shantung. these were great too, simple, yet flattering and really great quality. These dresses really deserve a trip to her showroom to really see how great they are!

DO NOT BUY FROM JENNY YOO!!! The measurements they take in the showroom mean NOTHING. Every one of our bridesmaids were sent the wrong sizes, and we all spent over $100 each altering them. Not only did we spend $300+ for the dress, but another $100 on top of that for the alterations!! This place is a rip-off!!! WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD.

Wow! That sounds awful, but for every bridesmaids dress ive ever had I had to get them altered too. I had my Jenny Yoo dress altered, made shorter and took it down a size, and it was only $45, maybe it was the tailor that ripped you off and not JY?

JENNY YOO IS A NIGHTMARE. Seriously, don’t buy anything fitted unless your bridesmaids have the bodies of 15 year old boys. I was just part of a wedding that used Jenny Yoo and the quality of the fabric for the price is appalling, the stitching on the dress was pulling the fabric apart before I’d even tried the dress on, and the lining on every one of the bridesmaid’s dresses were hanging out below the hemline. I’d also ordered a size up (I only ever wear a size 8 dress) and received a dress that was enormous on top and far too small in the skirt. I spent over $100 having the top taken in and having fabric added to the skirt so I could breathe and move in the dress. The other bridesmaids had to do the same, but one (who is incredibly thin) still ended up walking down the aisle with a hole in her dress, and others had dresses that tore throughout the day. The dress looked nice on a size 2 model, but if you’d like your bridesmaids to walk, breathe, sit, dance or eat during the day then I’d use someone that sizes their dresses more sensibly.
