Bridal Shower Food The Easy Way

December 20th, 2006 @ 12:47 pm by Mrs. Bee

I love cocktail hour food much more than the main course which is why I think these Pastry Kisses are great.

Pastry Kisses are award winning, handmade pastry cups that come in delectable flavors like carmelized onion and feta, basil pesto gorgonzola, blueberry lemon cream, mini crabcakes and more. They arrive frozen and to cook them, you simply pop the disposable tray into the oven for 30 mintues and voila - instant food for a bridal shower. They’re $11.95 for an order of 9/tray, with a 3 tray minimum. “Cooking” doesn’t get easier than this. :P (via modernbride feb/mar 2007)

Of course you’re also going to need a cocktail in the bride’s color scheme. Stirrings makes cocktail mixers in flavors like cosmopolitan, chocolate peppermentini (pictured below), peach bellini, pomegranate and more. They also come with matching rimmers for that finishing touch on your cocktails.

All you need to do is add your favorite liquor to the mixer - one 32 oz bottle is enough to make 30 drinks. The site even has drink recipes organized according to color! ;)

Available for $9.99 at Whole Foods, Cost Plus, Sur La Table, and more. I’m going to pick one up the next time I’m at Whole Foods and I’ll let you know how they taste! (via Inside Weddings)

Stirrings are wonderful :) As a martini lover, I always have a “Lemon Drop” mix on hand…so much easier than making lemon simple syrup myself. The Cosmo, Apple and Mojito mixes are good as well. They have them on sale often at Whole Foods & Cost Plus.

Thanks for the endorsement Miss Lemon! I was going to make flirtinis for Miss Snail’s bachelorette party and buying all those separate ingredients for cocktails gets really pricey. stirrings sounds like a perfect solution. cant wait to try it out at my next party! :)

I was at Costco (in CA) and they have these also! I just bought some for our Christmas Even dinner. 28 pieces for less than $9.00.
