Open Question: Parasols

December 20th, 2006 @ 1:13 pm by Open Question

Dear Weddingbee,

I’m having a beach wedding in California in July of 2007. I’m trying to get some parasols for my wedding and am having trouble finding some within my budget (my budget being whatever’s the cheapest). So far I found some parasols at Oriental Trading Company for $29.95 for a set of 12. I’m wondering if anyone else has gotten parasols for cheaper. Can you help?

Connie

Connie, I think thats the cheapest deal I’ve heard… at that price each one is only 2.50! If you buy them inidividually they are like $4+, from what I’ve seen…

That’s the cheapest I’ve seen. I have searched other sites and found them to be $9.95 for 1 and up.

That’s pretty cheap, but I’ve seen them in SF china town for a buck. I’m not sure where you live in Cali but it’s worth a shot.

I’m not sure how feasible this is either, but what about trying to buy them from other brides who have used them in their weddings? I know I’ve seen a lot of knot profiles where the brides have bought more than 30 parasols, and sometimes they have a “for sale” section at the bottom of their bios. It would obviously take a bit of time and research, but might be worth it if you get lucky.

Good luck!

I purchased my parasols in chinatown for $3 each. for larger ones, it may go up to $5. Plus they have more colors than the plain ones from Oriental Paper.

Oriental Trading has the cheapest so far… I just ordered mine from them. Use enter key code WC86558 to get an extra 15% off. Goodluck! ; )
