Online Buyer’s Remorse

Remember a few weeks ago, I asked for y’all’s opinions between 2 brooches that I was considering? So I would say 80% of voters liked this one, and I personally thought it looked more elegant and delicate as well.

It finally arrived in the mail yesterday, and it was teeny tiny, literally 1.5 inches wide. I guess that’s what I get for not really paying attention to the specs! Well, I DO remember seeing 1.5 inches on the description, but then ignored that fact, thinking it would be big enough. Anyway, I held it up next to my dress, and it didn’t really “go” well… boooo! Back to the drawing board… this was $40 poorly spent. Although I think this would be really cute as a dainty hairpin. Any takers? hehe.

Grrrr….that’s happened to me before. Today I received a pair of shoes that I won on ebay. they were listed as “gently used”…let me tell you they look like the incredible hulk “gently used” and the she wore them to the post office and then just dropped them in an envelope to be mailed! they are filthy. it’s a shame because they would be perfect! i’m going to drop them in the washing machine to see if that cleans them up a bit. it’s hit or miss with eBay and truly is a buyer beware scenario.

They have a pin just like that at wal-mart right now, with the christmas clearance gift sets. I think it’s around $4, and it’s probably the size that you’d want.

I saw LOADS of pins at Walmart on sale, like fizzyg said! Go check them out before they’re gone!!!

I’ve had that happen before, online. But just cut your losses, and try again. You could always just put it up for sale on Ebay again, if you can’t find anyone around here that wants it.
