Teach/Coach @ private schools in LA Engagement Date: March 31, 2006 Wedding Date: November 3, 2007 Venue: Radisson Hotel About Me: I'm a bookkeeper who failed high school algebra. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, literally a street over from where I grew up with Mr. Kiwi, my honey of three years. We have a jumbo mini-dachshund (seriously, he's huuuuge), and we're planning an autumn themed wedding on a shoestring, paid for by ourselves. The wedding date is my late grandma's birthday, I needed her there somehow, and that seemed like the best way for us. I can't believe I'm a Bee! I couldn't be more proud!

Resolutions for 2007

December 28th, 2006 @ 3:28 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Usually I don’t make resolutions, since I just break them and end up feeling bad about myself later! However, my resolutions are usually stupid and lame, and I allow myself to break them. Good lord, I am a pathetic specimen. Anyway, back to my resolutions for 2007! I decided that since 2007 was going to be a big year for us, I should really attempt to stick to them. So, without further ado, my resolutions.

1.) Finally see our renovated venue. In January. Not the two weeks before to drop off our guest list. Seriously, that thing has been redone for about two months now, and while I am totally anxious to see it, I’m also kinda… what’s the word? Lazy. Which brings me to number two.

2.) Get off my hiney and do some more exercising. Walking home from the first bus stop isn’t enough. Neither is walking to the kitchen. I slightly resolve to lose ten pounds, but if I lose just five, that’s still good.

3.) Learn to drive. Soon. The pressure is on lately, I’m not quite sure why. I’m starting to feel a bit ashamed about needing a ride to try on wedding dresses. Hey… number four!

4.) Find a wedding dress by March. Go to a bunch of places and see what I like. Kiwi needs to stop being afraid of the super huge “it’s never too late” sized wedding dresses, and just suck it up. Heh heh, literally.

5.) Spend more time with my mom and the rest of my family.

6.) Take more pictures. Seriously, I am seriously lacking in the picture-taking area.

Those are my resolutions, and I hope to keep all of them this time, for real. Of course, I hope to blog more and just be happier. After all, I’m getting married!

Do you guys make resolutions? Do you keep them?

I make them halfheartedly every year, but this is the first year that I’m really going to make an effort to keep them. :)

I haven’t made any for years but decided I’d like to try again this year. Hopefully it will give me that extra boost of motivation to get a few things done I already wanted to do…but was just too lazy to get on top of! Good luck with yours!

Lots of resolutions! Last year, I made a resolution to become healthier. To eat better, and exercise, and drop the weight! So far, I’ve lost about 60-70 pounds (depending on the time of the month! LOL), and this year, I’m just going to stick with what I’m doing to lose the rest! :)

I also want to become more patient. I make resolutions all throughout the year, so it’s not just a once a year thing for me! :)

i used to make them, and then stop, and then just settled on one: making this the best year ever. so far i haven’t failed ;-)

though i have added: learn to snowboard, surf more, take one picture a day, and take belly dancing classes.

this will be the best year ever!
