For all the SoCal brides out there, check out labridezilla.com. A former LA knottie started it as a place for vendor reviews from real brides to be gathered in one spot. The interface isn’t the prettiest as it’s message-board style, but overall it is pretty easy to use. I personally have used it to gather potential vendors as well as narrow down my very long lists that I start out with for each vendor category.

For any brides out there who are already married, I encourage you to add your reviews on vendors you may have used to make it even more helpful to other future brides. Especially if you already have them in a knot bio on your blog, or written up elsewhere. Copy/paste is easy and fun!

Some tips for posting reviews:

1. Read the ’sticky’ announcement that is the first post before posting anything.

2. Please please please provide as much contact information for your vendor as you have. There are a few posts on there without. While I am and others are pefectly capable of Googling, it makes it that much easier to use a vendor that you loved if their info is right there.

3. Search for your vendor first to make sure someone hasn’t already started a thread before starting your own. Use tip #1 below to find your vendor.

Some tips for searching for vendors:

1. Vendors are listed in the order of when someone first posted about them. They are not alphabetized. The “CTRL + F” command comes in very handy here if you are searching for a specific vendor in a specific category.

2. I *just* discovered that there is also a “search” function at the top of the board as well. The button is circled [badly] below on the screenshot of the search page.

3. Although some brides mention specific ideas of price, many posts do not mention it at all, unfortunately. Try vendor websites or putting in a quick call to get an idea of range once you’ve got your list narrowed down a bit.
