After much hemming and hawing, I finally picked my colors so that I could move on with my wedding planning life. Introducing red + soft aqua, with touches of white + chocolate brown where neutrals are required…

Being the neurotic that I am, I will probably do the above again with paints next time I am back in my office.
Other examples and inspiration:

‘Pool’ does not equal ‘tiffany blue.’ Yes, I am picky.

And finally, from MS Weddings, Summer 2006, of course:

I particularly like the blue ink on red paper. Apparently, many Asian cultures say you should never write names in red as it indicates death, so that works for me!
Red and blue are significant in Korean weddings, apparently. The yin-yang, which is red and blue for Koreans, symbolize male (red/positive) and female (blue/negative), balance, yadda yadda. Yay for finding symbolic meaning for colors I just like anyway!
