About Mrs. Lime

Blue + Orange

January 2nd, 2007 @ 6:26 pm by Mrs. Lime

This was my runner-up color scheme. In the process of deciding, I collected many many blue + orange images - even more than for the color scheme I ended up with. In the vein of Miss Plum’s color-themed entries, here’s a bold one for you all. I know how hard it can be to find inspiration images for less typical color schemes.

First, my favorite orange/blue knot bios:
LeCirage [I've mentioned this one before.]
Shananah [A uniquely laid out planning bio.]

Next, my favorite (the only) blue/orange weddingbee blogger, Miss Ant. Beautiful balance of the colors. Not garish, as some might fear, at all!

Flowers and tablescapes, since that’s where a lot of the reception color comes in:

Don’t even get me started on ALL of the paper stuff I’ve found. These are the ones that I saved. The rest are in my disorganized bookmarks folder.

If you’d prefer to bring this color scheme into other areas of your life beside your own wedding, you can always give wedding gifts wrapped in these hues:

And finally, your ‘maids (or matrons) can be pretty in orange + blue:

And while I’m on the color kick, I’ll be posting the red/blue stuff I found in the most recent InStyle Weddings soon (it somehow miraculously ended up in my mailbox - I don’t subscribe, and I don’t know of anyone who bought me a gift subscription…but I’m not complaining about free magazines).

I am loving the tropical colors. They remind me of a turquoise ocean and orange sunset.

I thought Hannikan on The Knot did a fab royal blue and orange color scheme based on the Tiffany windows in the church they got married:

I am getting married in May in Jamaica and have chosen blue and orange for my colors. It has been very difficult finding examples of these two colors together… thanks for the great images. I would appreciate any other sources you may have.
