It’s amazing what the “engaged eye” will pick up as you’re walking down the street, be it a ring on a finger or a neat candle in the corner of your favorite store. My brain had completely neglected Hanna Hartnell’s storefront in Santa Monica until yesterday, when I started drooling over the gorgeous dresses inside.

I wanted to rush inside and just start touching every dress inside, as they looked as if they were made from the finest silk in the world. I’m a stickler for the quality of fabrics (must have gotten that from grandma) and I was amazed at the prices for such a small studio (separates and dresses range from $500-$2500). Her designs seemed like a wonderful alternative to those brides looking for something a bit more feminine and seductive, especially for second-time brides or destination weddings. At any rate, if you’re looking for something different in LA, this might be a good spot for you to check out!
