OMG, where did 2006 go?! Sorry I’ve been MIA as of late. With holidays and vendors all being on vacation, I took a mini hiatus from all the wedding fuss n’ muss. Not to mention we took a 5 day family vacation to Scottsdale, AZ (lovely!). But I’m back for the 2007 blogging bonanza! The past 3 months of engagement (has it really only been 3 months?) flew by, but I feel like I accomplished a lot.

Things I can check off my list:

Venue (ceremony & reception) - Hyatt Lodge, Oak Brook, IL
Officiant - Terry Brady
Photographer - Dennis Lee
DJ - Chris from Spin Productions
Cocktail Pianist - Rachel Shaftman
Invites - Truly Smitten (in the design process)
DOC - Cindy Kang (friend of a friend)
The Dress!

January’s itinerary:

Order bridesmaids dresses, hopefully this week (Jasmine B228)
Decide on a florist (tough decision between 3 that I like)
Videographer… find a cheap one!!
Get back on the healthy track. My diet/workouts really suffered over the holidays.

hi Miss Emerald. I live in the Chicago area also, and noticed that you were looking for a videographer. My boyfriend is AWESOME at making videos. We’re still both college students, but he’s really talented at what he does. He’s doing a wedding in 2 weeks, and if you’d like, he could send you a sample of what he does and maybe if you like it, you guys could work something out? my friend had her reception at the Hyatt Lodge. It’s very nice! That’s wonderful that you got a lot done! It’s finally nice to see a Chicago tag!
