E-Save-The-Date Effectiveness Update

January 4th, 2007 @ 1:41 pm by Mrs. Lime

A few of you were curious to know how effectively my e-save-the-dates would work. So far, so good. I only sent 30 out to the English-speaking guests on my side. My guest list is much bigger than that, but some are couples, and I don’t have e-mail addresses for most of my relatives overseas who have already been notified via phone and my mom when she was there a month ago. Anyway, what you really want to hear about is the results.

I have 14 responses back, out of the 30 sent, a little over 24 hours after I sent it out. Not too bad, not too bad.

Most of the Mr. Lime’s guests are local, so we’ll be sending them out to his list once he gets all of his e-mail addresses into our nifty spreadsheet.

We’ve ventured into electronic RSVP’ing on WeddingChannel.com. So far, so good. Huge postage & stationery savings, plus it generates a nifty spreadsheet of who’s in/out, plus each person’s meal choice. True, we’ll still have a few to call, but we’d have to call those folks anyway even if they had an enclosed RSVP card with a stamp on it.

Wow, that’s a pretty good response rate. I’m impressed. Bah.. I’m not looking forward to tracking down all the smail mail addresses for my humongous guest list. I need to be more like you and get on top of it. :)
