Bridesmaids - Almost Done But Not Quite

January 5th, 2007 @ 2:21 pm by Mrs. Emerald

Last night in Chicago, we had a weird torrential rainstorm that lasted for hours. But being that it was my only free night of the week (guys poker night), I decided to charge on with my plans to visit the bridal salon nearest to me which carried the Jasmine bridesmaids dresses. Even though I was 98% sure I knew which style and color I wanted, that 2% doubt still bugged me.

So I braved the horizontal rain. Coincidentally, when I got there, there was a young girl around my sister’s age (15) trying on my intended bridesmaids dress and it looked lovely on her! That confirmed my decision. In terms of color, I had my eye on Berry (see below), which seemed to be my only choice in a dark red. It wasn’t as dark as I hoped it would be, but I figured it would do. Anyways, home I went, and I immediately placed the order for my 5 bridesmaids via Netbride, and VOILA! Easy as pie…

Just as I thought I was done with the whole Bridesmaids business, this morning I went back to the Jasmine website (for no good reason, I might add) and suddenly noticed that there is another color, Cranberry, which looks even darker than the Berry. I called up the company directly and asked if the cranberry was more dark red versus dark purple, and they said it was definitely a dark red color. The weird thing is that I never even noticed this color when looking at the color swatches!! I emailed Netbride and they said they can hold the order until I decide on the color, so no problem. Yay! But now I need to find time to go back to the bridal shop to look at the swatches again.

I *think* that’s the same dress one of my BM is wearing. It’s very pretty and super flattering.

Mrs.G - Jasmine is not listed on Netbride anywhere. You have to call them. Also, their intial quote for Jasmine dresses are always MSRP, then you have to go to another vendor and get a discounted quote, then Netbride will match. Kind of a pain… I got a quote for $122 from RK Bridal, and then netbride matched it… I didnt gain anything by going w/netbride, but I trusted their reputation. The dress is from their B2 line, B3308!
