Mrs. Lemon, Los Angeles/Monterey Age and Occupation in 2006: 26, Graduate Student (Public Policy) Fiance's Age and Occupation in 2006: 29, Environmental Consultant Engagement Date: April 7, 2006 Wedding Date: July 7, 2007 Venue: Rosary Chapel & Monterey Marriott, Monterey, CA About Me: My FI and I met online, but we like to tell people that we met at a "cookie shop" which is the technical location of our first encounter. He proposed exactly 1 year, 1 month and 6 days after our first date (it's the only part of his proposal speech that I remember), and we're planning long-distance from Los Angeles for a July wedding in my hometown of Monterey, CA. I have a passion for all things "cool, cute and quirky" and I enjoy video games, reading blogs (WeddingBee, trashy celeb, consumer & political) and crafting in my spare time, if I have any!

Back To The Stationery Drawing Board

January 9th, 2007 @ 10:29 am by Mrs. Lemon

I finally made Mr. Lemon look at some invitations to gauge his interest on what we wanted for our DIY wedding stationery… and his response completely threw me for a loop. Since he is so completely drawn to bold colors and clean lines in most everything he admires, I thought for certain that he’d opt for the more modern style of invitation. But no! Instead he starts picking out everything that is flowery and pretty and classic and shabby chic! What?!?! Really?!!? Nuh-uh.

Alas, I’m back to the drawing board now as to what our paper products will look like. At least I have the paper and the envelopes all ready. But that seems like so little right now. However I have set a personal deadline of January 31 for all of my paper designs to be complete. That should get the ball rolling for me to finally make up my mind.

Any other DIY brides out there feeling the crunch? *sigh*
