About Mrs. Kiwi

Dog In Tails

January 9th, 2007 @ 12:19 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

Ever since we got our mini-dachshund Woofie, I’ve wanted him in our wedding. Mr. Kiwi, while usually enabling of my more “abstract” ideas immediately ix-nayed the idea. But ever since Woofie (Woofman) injured his knee, I’m even more hesitant to leave him with anyone. I want him in our wedding, and I want him spending the honeymoon night in our room with us. Well, not in the room, but in our suite. I mean, it’s not like we’re going to be doing anything that could mentally harm a dog. :)

To solve our “the dog isn’t formal enough for a wedding” problem, my mom got Woofie a tux. With tails. No joke. We already have a ring bearer, but perhaps he could accompany the mothers down the aisle? I know he’d have to sit with my dad, since other than Mr. Kiwi and I, he’s the only person who knows how to handle the little guy. Anyway, here is a picture of Woofman, not in the tux- it hasn’t arrived yet. :) That off white thing behind him was one of his “bones” (that’s what we call all his stuffed animals and rawhide things), who we called Mr. Bear. Woofie worked that poor guy over- after a week the foot was chewed off.

(The marks on the rugs are ALL Woofie related, and steamed out following his potty-training)

This is Woofie doing his “sea serpent” impression.

Lastly, this is him with a guilty look on his face. Yes, he did just do something wrong.

And, here’s the little tux that he’ll be wearing.

That dog is going to kill me in my sleep one of these days, I just know it.

cute. I wanted my dog to be in our wedding but since we were having our ceremony at the same place as the reception, the dogs were not allowed for health reasons.

Too cute! I have two mini-dachshunds that I wish could be apart of our ceremony but the site doesn’t allow pets. :-(

He’s adorable! Jeff’s parents have a mini daschund–Molly :-) She hurt her back, though, and won’t be at the wedding :-( But our Maxie will be! :-D Love the tux :-)

Woofie is too cute! I would love to have Lola (boston terrier) in the wedding, but she is too young and too crazy!

What are you going to do with him during the reception?

9.
Miss Kiwi says:

Thanks guys! I think Woofman is the cutest. When he’s not biting on me. :) Anyway, during the reception, I think I’ll put him up in our room, it’s just upstairs and dogs are allowed. It’s a four hour reception, so it should be fine. Maybe I’ll sneak him down for some pics. :)

Ok, the sea serpent thing must be a dachshund thing, my two do this all the time!
They also twist into some lovely yoga-like poses which I love.
Woofie is adorable!

Tooooooo cute! You tell Mr. Kiwi to get over it, he’s coming!

I have kitties, and they don’t really cooperate for weddings. Haha. I’d have them there if I could though!

Ohhhhh Woofie, Woofman is too cute! If I had the little guy I wouldn’t want to leave him alone either. Too bad my dog is too big/old/disobedient for the reception. But good luck with including your dog, as long as the music is not too loud, and someone is willing to him out for a weezer it shoud be fine.
