Hair Ideas

January 12th, 2007 @ 4:40 pm by Mrs. Orchid

Next month I will be going for my 1st hair/makeup trial with Sachiko Yanase (the same person that Miss Orange had her trial with), so I’ve been looking through some hair and makeup ideas. I know for sure that I want my hair to be half up, just because my think I look funny with all my hair pulled back. Here are some of the styles I’ve been looking into.

1)970758332303_0_ALB721946371303_0_ALB

2)573603528303_0_ALB373603528303_0_ALB

3)467610537103_0_ALB363933037103_0_ALB

4)307052178103_0_ALB298930760403_0_ALB

5)280758332303_0_ALB212937508203_0_ALB

6)197732456203_0_ALB497732456203_0_ALB

7)mpar-love-me-tendrilsz70074085

I really like the idea of having small sparkly clips in the back like in #5. I’m wondering if it’ll look too curly, and whether my hairstyle with the curls will last the entire evening because I have that straight asian hair. I think the ones in #7 look nice too, but perhaps with a few wisps of the bangs in the front.

Which do you like? How are you doing your hair for your wedding?

wow. i was so set on having my hair all up in some sort of updo. but i REALLY like 1, 2, and 4-more than any updo i’ve been looking for! hmmmm maybe i will consider putting my hair half-up/half-down… either way, my BMs will be so i’ll be sure to save some of these pics for them. thanks!

These are great. I like 2 and 4 the best and the clips on the back of 3 and 5 are really pretty.

I like 1 and 2. She’ll try several styles on you so you get an idea….no use of heavy hair spray at the trial either. Funny, I just emailed Sachiko to discuss the day of schedule. Yay!

I want my hair like this too! :) I don’t think I can put it all the way up and feel comfortable; I wear my hair down every day. I love #1 and #6, esp. #6… I think I just may be taking printouts of those to my hair trial!! Thanks Miss Orchid!

I really like all of the hairstyles… Well, maybe not 7, 7 is too plain. The first one looked goregous and it’s really something I will consider at the next semi-formal — formal event I go to. Especially since I permed my hair, it’s really easy to curl my once super straight Asian hair. :D

But maybe instead of the two clips you can have one bigger clip. Maybe a flower or some vintage looking design. :)

Hrmm, I was also considering a low chignon, but like Miss Plumeria, I always wear my hair down so I feel more comfortable… I’ll be saving these pix =)

Oh #2 and #5 are absolutely gorgeous! My hair was like this! At first I wasn’t sure about the curls either but they stayed all night and looked perfect until I took my hair down myself late in the evening.

i like #5 with the clips on the best! #5 without the clips doesn’t look anything like the look w/ the clips..maybe its just my eyes playing tricks on me :T
and i like #6 :)

I like #2 the best. The #4 bride looks a little bit scary. Haha. So much blonde hair!

#1,2,4. My straight hair also flattens out, so maybe start out on the slightly too-curly side, and it will have “room” to stretch out into softer waves by the end of the reception.

i really like 4.

i am also planning on doing my hair this way. for my cousin’s wedding the lady did my hair that way, she called it a fake up. but she did such a fabulous job.

now i don’t want to get my hair cut anymore haha. maybe i’ll just get a trim.

I really like number 4 - it is natural, but special at the same time.

Miss Peach: There isn’t one specific place where I got these pictures from. It’s pretty much a compliation of different styles I’ve been saving on my computer when I surf the net & go, ‘oooh… I like that one!’ Let me know if there’s a specific one you want I can email it to you! :)

All the hairstyles except for #3 and #7 was done by Joyce Luck (a Los Angeles/OC based stylist). Those photos came from her private album on Kodakgallery.
