I want these placecard holders from Bella Regalo. They are $2.75 each though, and I wasn’t planning on having a placecard holder. We were going to let everyone find their own seat at whatever table they were assigned to. Are you doing placecards and placecardholders?

I also like these personalized wedding cake cookies (they start at $3.95 each).

And, how could I resist not mentioning these personalized honeys.

What cool sites have you discovered recently that highlight original wedding things?

We’re not doing table or placecards. I brought it up with my mom and a family friend and their faces screwed up in a way that told me it would never go over well with my family!

We have to do strategic placecards because of all the divorces in the SO’s family. His parents, his grandparents, kids from different relationships… and I’d hate to see any members of my family stranded on his side for any extended seating. I encourage mingling, but it would get weird.

I didn’t bother, and, in the end, I think it would have been a bad idea.

These (place card holders) are gorgeous! I’m getting mine letterpressed and then trying to figure out how I want to display them. You could use simple cards in your flower pots with names on one side and table numbers on the other… they could still find their own seat that way and they would be so pretty all on one table at the beginning of the event!

I still haven’t figured out if I should do place cards yet. Although, my life would be a tiny bit easier if I didn’t…I’m having an outdoors ceremony/reception and the tables will be on a glass-topped patio. Is there a need to reserve at least a few tables for parents/grandparents and bridal party, or would most guests assume that the tables closest to the bride and groom were for those people?
