Stamps and Placeholders

January 17th, 2007 @ 5:42 pm by Mrs. Poppy

Remember Mrs. Bee talked about those adorable Hershey’s Kiss stamps? Well little old me went over to the post office today and bought their remaining 6 sheets. I put them on our rsvp envelopes and they are so cute!

My invitations need 63 cent stamps, but I don’t know of any cute stamps that come in that amount. Should I just put two Hershey’s Kiss stamps instead? That is a waste of money, but they are SO CUTE!

I’ve also been researching placecard holders and I found such an adorable one:

s717874
from: myweddingfavors.com It’s especially fitting for February brides. Even though our wedding is in July, I’m really tempted to buy these. Would it be weird if I did? Ah, who cares right? Just as long as I like it. smiley109

I would love to hear where you ladies are getting your place cards and holders. Please let me know, I’m still searching. smiley301

Well, I’m not using holders, but I bought the leaf placecards miss orange posted yesterday at Pottery Barn. Perfect for our wedding, and they have things to make them stand up!

try http://www.usps.com You can see all of their “additional postage” stamps online and can even buy them online if you want.

That is what I will be using. They come as a set specially made for wedding invitations (63c for invitation and 39c for RSVP envelope).

Yes, rates are going up in April, I believe.

I don’t think it matters whether your wedding is near Valentines’ or in August when using these conversation hearts. Go with your heart, no pun intended. I planned to use conversational hearts at my April wedding, so these card holders would tie in perfectly as the table number holder, thanks.

I’m sadly trying to decide on stamps too… but with the likely rate increase in May I don’t know what to do for the reply envelopes… since the invites will probably be sent in April.
