About Mrs. Lime

1. They make me nervous that I’m behind on the planning when in reality I have plenty of time.
2. No one else cares how long is left until the wedding.
3. It makes crazy plan-way-ahead brides even crazier.
4. Most of the tickers out there include sappy graphics that are not my taste.
5. Any number of days beyond 30 makes no sense. “258 days” is of no use to me. It requires long division for my months/days mind to make sense of it. [ I know there are months & days tickers out there, but still, no thanks.]

That said, I now have less than 200 days to go, per my knot beta profile. Despite what I said in #1, it’s not making me nervous, it’s just reminding me of something I already knew about myself - that I am the master procrasti-tater.

haha…
i personally don’t like the checklists that start with “6 months and beyond” b/c it really makes you freak out… especially when you’re a newbie bride-to-be

My wedding is in less than two months and I haven’t oredered the invites yet. :-O! But I’m just getting some printed, nothing too fancy… I’ll just have a really quick turnaround time. And I’d be going to look for a bakery if it weren’t supposed to snow 8″ this Saturday.

We aren’t getting married until 2010, but I don’t have a countdown…but I am looking at ideas. Does that make me crazy? Okay then. :)

haha k. no worries. at least you have a year. me and my bf just know it’ll happen “sometime in the future.” does that vagueness keep me from planning like it’s happening in the next year or two? ab-so-freakin-loutely NOT!

or maybe it does. lol

I think I’m an absoute number 3! 19 months engaged and I’ve got (less than) ten months left. NOW I panic? So stupid! Those countdown things creep me out- way too many numbers and dates to keep track of.

Amen…they freak me out so bad! I hate to see one in my inbox. I know I’m behind on my planning, but I don’t need be reminded with a checklist. They are good model to create your own checklist though. It’s under four months and I still don’t have a dress, reception location or invitations…if the Knot was running my life I would go directly to jail- do not pass go, do not collect $200.

I’ve got most of the BIG things chosen and reserved. Now I have to get to contracts with them before they check out.

Sending save the dates and getting my FI to get the darn website up (he’s a computer programmer) sot hat we can send those out (they have teh website address on them!)

Next big thing on my list is those nasty contracts - did I mention this is all long distance? Like overseas…

Oh adn getting on my bridal party’s buts about passports so they can make it to the wedding.

7 months exactley (well it was yesterday) to the wedding!

I put one in my bio, chose the least sappy graphics I could access. Only because if it’s not somewhere easy to see I’ll forget how little time is left. I should change the text to “six months, three weeks until…ack! is that all that’s left?” I’ve been in a slump for two months, not only have we not sent out the save the dates, but we haven’t chosen the caterer. Ack!
