About Mrs. Strawberry

So I’ve been chug, chug, chugging along on all the wedding projects. The national guard had to come in and declare my dining room a craft disaster area. It truly is a mess. I’ve got paper pieces everywhere, baskets full of picture frames in every corner, DIY stamped gift tags that are laid out on ledges, as not to smear. I don’t know what I’ve gotten myself into.

Here is what I’ve been working on.

The bridesmaid’s flip flops came in and I tied them together with polka dot ribbon and made some gift tags with a nifty tag punch. I also found these little teddy bears in pink and brown for my flower girls. They were actually a gift with purchase for buying Hallmark cards. Can we say ghetto? I know I can.

I’ve also been working on progam mockups. I’ve folded about 150 pieces of heavy brown card stock for the covers, and punched a scalloped hole in the bottom right hand corner.

The inside page is pink with a bird stamped to show through the punched hole. Time consuming? Oh, yes.

I’m going to run a light pink ribbon along the edge as a sort of binding, and I’m also going to round the corners to go along with the rest of the paper products.

I’m debating whether to have them this size or smaller. I think I also want to have S + T on the pink paper, poking out…kind of like carver initials in a tree. I’ll see if I can’t find a stamp that will get the job done. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Where to get those shaped hole punchers? Also how did you crisply fold the card stock, and what kind of punch are you using for the holes for the ribbon hinge?

Can’t wait to see the finished product! Very inspiring!! Since your colors are pink and brown what color is the bridesmaid’s dresses. I want to do the same but brown dresses might be to dull and pink to fair….

Wow. miss strawberry, you’re sooo on top of things. *panic* ahhhh. i’m so behind. ahaha.

I really like the cutout in the program, but I don’t know what you mean by having the S + T on pink paper sticking out… sticking out where?

Iris:
I got the punch at Onestopsquare.com. I did crisply fold the card stock. I’m debating whether to cut it down or not though. For the ribbon hinge, I got a really tiny hole punch at Jo Anne’s. I want to say its 5/8? Not sure.

Flobster:
We’re doing very light pink bridesmaid dresses. I was trying to figure out which color I wanted to use for a while and the light pink went more with the shabby chic look we were going for.

Miss Peach:
Sorry–that wasn’t very clear was it!? :) I want the S + T to be on either side of the bird on the pink paper that is seen through the punch. The + part would probably be on the bird itself. I just feel like our names or date should be somewhere on the cover.

Really pretty.
I don’t think you should scallop the brown papers edges.
If you had the inside of the brown, have pink paper in there with the scalloped edge and the brown peeking out from behind it, I think that would be cute.

Great job–the bird is really cute.

Don’t you just love that Making Memories brown & pink cardstock? I just used it to make invitations for my sister’s bridal shower, and they looked fabulous! Plus I have plenty of cardstock leftover that I plan to turn into part of a scrapbooking gift for her- along with stickers and such to make some pages of her bridal shower.

i love the program especially the stamp. great job! perhaps you can emboss “s & t” on top of the front cover using rubber stamps? light pink embossing powder would match perfectly.

what a creative idea!! it looks great~
rounded corners would look great! and i like miss violet’s idea as well! - that way you can get your initials on the cover without compromising on size & location.

Are you printing the programs yourself, and if so - do you have a template you’re using that you’d like to share? :)

I will be printing them myself. But I haven’t gotten that far yet. I’ll have to find a template myself!

Just another question about the flipflops! Went to old navy and they only have solid colored flip flops. Am I missing something? I want the polka dots!!
