I spent date night at Borders with Mr. Pearl on Saturday, and took the time to collect various wedding magazines and books. One of my wedding bibles is Martha Stewart Weddings. In the Winter edition, Martha shows off pink and gold color schemes. She talks about the vintage quality of the color scheme and alludes to old Hollywood glamour. Does Martha read my blog posts or something? That’s exactly what we’re looking for.
The pics have the antique-y quality we hope to portray with our wedding, which also match our ballroom’s decor. Now, toss in some chocolate brown and we’ve got it!

that’s where I got my color scheme! I LOVE this combination! The gold makes the pink a little less girly and more sophisticated.
Does anyone know where those goldish holders are from?? The ones in the 4th picture?? TIA

I know, right?! I swear, I was reading the latest edition of InStyle Weddings and I saw a lot of the things we had previously posted about/items we had blogged about - either it’s a really strange case of coincidence or SOMEONE is jacking our stuff! lol.
Pink and gold.. my color scheme too. I was quite excited to see it featured in this month’s issue.
Do you guys have other pictures and/or choices of linens for this color combo? I’m trying to use this (with espresso brown b/c I’m in Fall) but I’m stumped on linens!
