So that must mean I am getting more popular by the day! I have yet another thing checked off my list. Last night while standing on a sidewalk somewhere south of the 10 freeway in 30- to 40-degree cold (hey, it’s colder than our typical winter nights, don’t hate), during a moment stolen after meeting with a larger group of friends, I asked my remaining two bridesmaids to be a part of our day. After some non-characteristic squealing from my usually non-girly girls and a group hug (more to keep warm), my bridal party is all in for the ride!
How did I ask my other bridesmaid? Via AIM, no joke, as it’s our main method of communication even when on the same coast [both of us hate phones].
I do like making quirky cards suited for specific people and occasions, but the wedding planning is sapping away all that extra time and energy. Sorry, no cute DIY “Will you be…” cards here; just the above memory etched into our minds. The spontaniety of it beats anything I could have planned and makes it more memorable, in my opinion. Of course, that’s because I’m in the “asking simply is the most meaningful” camp.
How did you ask your bridal party to be a part of your day?
