I Heart Ebay

January 19th, 2007 @ 4:15 pm by Mrs. Emerald

*Doin’ the Happy Dance* During this whole wedding planning process, Ebay (among other sites) has been one of my best friends! Of course there is the occasional case of buyer’s remorse, but most of my transactions have been positive (*knock on wood*). So this past week I have had my fingers tightly crossed over my most recent Ebay purchase: this gorgeous genuine pearl bracelet!

I Heart Ebay : wedding beauty jewelry Z720151 mybracelet
(pic from ebay seller’s site)

My only slighty negative notes (but not enough to dampen my happiness):
- If you look closely, you can see the string knots where the 3 strands of pearls are tied to the clasp on each side.
- It’s a teeny bit big for my wrist, but not enough to just slide off.
- The pearls are freshwater and not of the highest quality, so they are not perfect spheres. But who cares!! (What do you expect for $50?!)

Here is the link, it looks like the seller has a few more in stock! I’m at work right now, but I have taken the bracelet out of my purse to admire it at least 4 times already… in 20 minutes! (*disclaimer: this is merely my opinion, please do not fault me if you purchase and are not as thrilled as I am! Cheers! happy02)

Now which wrist do I wear it on…? Oh, a bride has so many decisions!! HAHA.

This bracelet is infinitely better than the Judith Jack bracelet I was tempted to purchase… for $135+! And these are only glass pearls!

Great buy! My favorites, among too many, are the dresses (most specifically the Banana Republic ones) and shoes I buy for a fraction of the cost if I were to buy them in stores :)

The bracelet is very pretty. I love pearls.

I’ve made a few eBay wedding purchases, and have been pleased with them all. I’ve bought my tiara (love it), pew bows (really pretty, which CAN be found among the cheap and ugly ones on there too), and an iron-on Bride transfer written in cursive in rhinestones so I can make the requisite Bride hoodie - for $6 including shipping! I’m probably forgetting some things, but those are favorites.

I like the irregular freshwater pearls. Very organic. My favorite ebay purchase was a copy of The Night Before Christmas. It is the same version that my mom read to us when we were kids. I can’t wait to share it with my kids. :)

Not ebay, but an antiques auction site. It was my first wedding purchase - an antique maple leaf brooch which, along with an older Martha Stewart Magazine, inspired our color scheme.

I love it, love it, love it. It’s my favorite purchase so far.

I’ve ordered several wedding things from ebay–a brooch, bracelet, hairpins, and I’ll be doing my flower girl dresses and invitations as well.

My fave ebay purchase so far has been the sash for my dress. Only $40 for four yards of gorgeous silky 4″ ribbon, as opposed to $250 for the real Monique Lhuillier sash. Who’s going to be able to tell the difference, anyway?

Love the bracelet!
