About Mrs. Kiwi

Minimoon!

January 21st, 2007 @ 4:00 pm by Mrs. Kiwi

As you know, we’ve decided to go to Costa Rica for our honeymoon, but we likely will be taking it almost a month after the wedding. Since Mr. Kiwi thinks we need to take a few nights after the wedding as a little break, we were trying to come up with an idea of where to go.

As per usual, my choice is Disneyland. I would live there if I could. Mr. Kiwi on the other hand, had his fill last year. Another option I suggested was Santa Barbara, where we planned our first trip together in the early days. Mr. K gave that idea a vague “Yeah…” My next suggestion was San Diego, where he planned our first Valentine’s day together. That was also replied with a “Yeah…”

Jeez, this man is hard to please! I gave up, and decided to let him choose the plan. So, this morning when we were watching the weather channel, they were talking about Las Vegas. This may be insane, but I LOVE Las Vegas. Unfortunately, Mr. Kiwi and I have never had a chance to go together - we’ve been to Reno (like a middle-aged Las Vegas) but that’s as far as we’ve gone out of state together.

Mr. Kiwi then mentioned my MOH (and his sister) Lena is in Vegas with her husband and children and said, “Ya know, I was looking into it yesterday. What do you think about going to Vegas the Monday after the wedding and spending a few days there?” What did I think? I think HELL YES! Before he even finished his thought, I said, “Yes. Absolutely, no question, yes!”

So now we’re going to “minimoon” in Las Vegas! I am so excited. Anyone else doing a “minimoon”?

Ooh, yay, sounds like so much fun!!! Do you know where you’re going to stay or what you’re going to do there yet? Now I wish I wasn’t able to go on our honeymoon until later - so jealous of all of you that get two! :-)

Oh that sounds like fun! I love Vegas too… in fact you should check out the Vegas artwork in the window at the Animation Gallery (next to Tender Greens) — Mr. Lemon keeps saying he should buy it for me… you’ll have to see it to understand!

I am getting married in July and my fiance and I want to go to Greece. We are also waiting to go. So we planned our mini moon in Las Vegas also! We are very excited about it. Vegas is great because it can be what ever you want it to be, relaxing or crazy. It’s all up to you.
