FINALLY, we have our e-pics. And my feelings toward them are…meh.
We had them taken over the summer, on our college campus. Our photog was *majorly* skeezy and gross, and after the pics were taken we pretty much wanted no more contact with him. So we paid for the proofs album and haven’t talked to him since (we’ve even devised a plan for how to react if we run into him at the WalMart here in our college town). And finally, here they are. He didn’t take many, and our proofs album only had about 30 pics in it. Of those, the majority are really gross looking, so these are the only decent ones.
It has also been pointed out to me that I look exceptionally pasty. Even more of a reason to get them retaken.
And with no further ado…

I can’t help but feel that for the $XXX that we paid, we should’ve gotten more than four decent poses in scanned-in images

We may retake them, with a friend of mine who’s a photography student.

awww, sorr you had a bad experience with your photographer. hopefully your next session will be a success! you guys do look very cute tho!

I’m sorry too, but those look cute as much as they can be for your tastes, and unfortunately it’s a very expensive story to look back on And also, to make yourself feel a bit better- that is the tone of my skin in real life (I’m a redhead too), so if you’re a bit less pale than the picture looks, lucky you! Good luck with the retakes if you do them!
Not so bad. Yeah, the kiss shot is not quite right (and I notice your arm before your face), but #4 is really great! Agree that they are a little over-exposed looking; the color is so soft and whited-out… but sometimes that can be artistic. Actually, do you have digital files? What if you manipulated the photos by converting them to black and white, or sepia? Maybe you would like them better?
Those are cute pictures, don’t be so hard on yourself. Your “flaws” are unique and what makes you that more beautiful.
They’re cute! I agree with you about the last one… that with a less intimate pose you don’t look engaged, but it’s still cute!
I think you should complain to someone about your experiance. Maybe just on the Knot and here, but people should know that he’s not the best 
You are very beautiful! You could be a model! I don’t think is that you are pale, just that your photog over exposed the pics so everything is bright white

Save the money and definitely don’t have any more taken unless they’re for free as a favor or a gift - put any money you would spend into a wedding day photographer instead. The pictures above really aren’t bad, but wedding photos get *so* much more attention I think…

Miss Blueberry, you are gorgeous and NOT pasty! That’s porcelain skin, as my boyfriend likes to call it. And your special kiss — you meant that to be chin/nose, right? ‘Cause my boyfriend and I do that too.
i think you can make them look better if you photoshop them a bit.

I agree with everyone else - the washed out colors are the most distracting.. I really like the photoshops newly_engaged did!

Miss Blueberry… I think fair skin is making a comeback!!! At least I hope so, because I am pertty pale.

If you’re really, super unhappy, you should complain in some form or another. I think good photographers make people look comfortable in their photos. Now you just know what to look for in a wedding photographer!
