OK, it’s official. I adore my shoes! I was a bit wary about ordering them sight unseen on final sale, but when I opened the box, I squealed … literally! I had shown them to Mr. Lemon, and he gave me a little scrunched up, “ok?” response, since the online photos make them look quite bold and a bit offensive. Instead, they’re well muted and just the right colors!
These Shannon Brittbabies are not only beautiful to look at, but they are incredibly comfortable and made extremely well. I pumped up a couple tunes on the ipod and did a “dancing test” as well on the rug, and I think they’ll serve me quite well for my all day summer affair!
The blue satin is just enough to notice the color, and the gold embossing is just the perfect accent.
Those shoes are absolutely gorgeous!
Those are beautiful… I’m thinking about the ivory satin ones… tell me, were they true to size? width?
Oh, they’re so pretty in your pictures! Now I’m even more tempted. Hmmm. Are they true to size? I usually don’t have a problem getting shoes online as long as the size is true, my feet are pretty standard (although 11s.) I was thinking of getting the Fenaroli “Victoria” and dyeing them, but I wouldn’t have to dye them….
I have been close to buying these for a week now…I’m just worried the gold is to much. Does it stand out?
n & pencils: I normally go with a 10, but I went up a half size just to be safe, and they fit perfectly. I figured I could always add a heel cusion if they were a bit loose, since closed heel shoes and I are not friends. As for width, I’m a fan of wider standard width (ie. Adidas and New Balance… not Nike), and these work perfectly.
Elsa: The gold isn’t too much at all. I was worried that the pattern would overwhelm the shoe (like the online pictures), but it doesn’t at all. In fact, neither color is really dominant, it just blends well together from afar. Close up (ie. from 2″ away) you can see the gold, but otherwise it’s just a nice accent.
