Mark your calendars for Thursday, February 8th!

We’re having our one year Weddingbee Anniversary party at the Gallery Bar in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Gallery Bar is an actual art gallery by day that features cutting edge artwork from local and international artists - and all of it is for sale! By night it turns into a lounge with drinks flowing and a dj spinning. It just opened last Thursday, but you can read reviews here and here.

I visited Gallery Bar to make sure it was cool and yet not too noisy/crowded; it looked just like their reviews. The owner showed me around, and there’s an upstairs with the art gallery and a photobooth, and a private downstairs that we can take over if we want. I’m not into the crowded/super trendy scene, so this looked like the perfect place.

I only found out about Gallery Bar because one of Mr. Bee’s friends is a NY/LA nightlife aficionado and knows all the hot new lounges because of his work (he owns a rum company, Starr African Rum). Mr. Bee and I had our wedding signature cocktails made from Starr, and they were a huge hit. We’ll also be giving away weddingbee t-shirts to the first 25 people there, and a bunch more to those of you who can answer weddingbee trivia.

So come check out some artwork, listen to music, have a mojito, and help us celebrate our one year anniversary at this super cool space. We hope you can make it! Your friends and fiances are welcome too!
