Out of Town Goodies

January 24th, 2007 @ 10:31 am by Mrs. Raspberry

Mr. Raspberry and I have begun to think of what things we will include in our OOT gift bags for our traveling guests. I love Izzy sodas and thought it would be fun to do the grapefruit and apple or pear to stay with our wedding colors of pink and green. :)

We also thought we would include our favorite “junk” - chocolate covered raisins for me and chocolate chip cookies or Newman’s Mint Oreos for Mr. Raspberry.

We don’t want to swamp them with bad foods, so I also thought we might include fresh local strawberries and homemade biscuits (like Martha’s).

As for paper products, definitely a map, schedule and guidebook of things to do in the area.

Is there anything major I am forgetting? What are you giving your out of town guests?

We live in a warm sunny area and for our June wedding will be including bottles of water from a local spring and sunblock for our OOT guests. We’re also including menus from some of our favorite restaurants that are walking distance from the hotel.

Depending on just how many out of town guests we get, we might also include a Spanish phrase book, although we could always make it ourselves…

Our treats will be from the area- chocolate covered guava bits or coffee beans, macademia nuts, etc. Def a bottle of water and restaurant guides.

What are you putting the stuff in? I’m looking for something cheap but unique.
