Wedding Band By H. Stern

January 24th, 2007 @ 1:31 pm by Mrs. Apple

Yes! After noticing amerasianchic’s beautiful wedding band, I had to have one of my own!

I contacted H. Stern and spoke with Susana, who happily helped me locate this particular band in the NYC location. The ring is from the Allegro Collection by H. Stern and is of Noble Gold - a mixture of 18kt white gold/yellow gold. Even though the noble gold is pretty, I prefer one that is white gold (like the one above) to match my platinum e-ring.

So Susana charged my cc and Fedex’d me this ring in Noble Gold to try on my finger, and see if I liked the style and fit. If I did, I could call her back and custom order it in white gold and return the noble gold. This custom piece would take about 3 months to make, so it would be perfect timing for my end of May wedding.

I really like the lightweight feel of this ring. My platinum ring is really heavy so my main concern in selecting my wedding band was the lightness factor. I will be wearing my wedding band on my left hand and my engagement ring on my right, since both rings don’t match well together.

Here are some photos I took today.

Here is a photo of my ering - my favorite part is the antique etching on the sides of the band. We got my ering diamond from Whiteflash and the setting from a jeweler in Houston.

Do you wear or plan on wearing both your engagement ring and wedding band on your ring finger or one on each hand?

congrats! :)
i’m glad you were able to locate the pretty band!

i plan on wearing my e-ring w/ the band on the same finger(but it’s a typical e-ring setting & band).
but i had previously tried on an e-ring where the setting wouldn’t allow the band to be flush w/ the e-ring…so i knew i’d wear those on different hands.

It’s really neat that they are willing to work with you on the ring! And I love the wedding band.

I specifically bought a wedding band that would sit flush with my e-ring. So I wear them together and I got so annoyed with them twisting separately that I had them soldered together on our way home from the honeymoon.

One on each hand, I think, because my e-ring is pretty unique and think banded and bold as is. I would love to get a non-traditional right hand band for the wedding band…I actually really like this one that you posted about!

I plan on wearing them both on one hand, but not soldering them together so I can wear them separate if I choose.
