Too Much?

January 25th, 2007 @ 3:32 pm by Mrs. Strawberry

I have a serious issue with finding cute things and trying incorporating them into the wedding. Doesn’t sound like a major issue, right? Well, when you are constantly finding *new* cute things, it can all look a little overwhelming. So, I need a little advice. I found these cute pink letters called Twinkle Type at Impress this weekend. I had no idea what I was going to do with them, but I HAD to have them.

After some thought, I decided to use them as my table numbers. Now, be honest with me. Is this tacky? Does the glitter clash with the “shabby-chic-ness” of the frames?

If so, I can always use them to decorate gift tags and such. Bring on the brutal honesty. I might listen! :)

I don’t think it goes with the frames but they are cute! maybe do table number with them and use the frames for family pics?

Can you use them on your cake table?

i like them as table numbers, but might be over kill with the frame.

I think they’re lovely on the gift tags, but a whole bunch of them might be too much.

I think they’d make great cake letters, if you want to have letters on top of your cake. also, if there’s a “getting ready room,” you can spell out “BRIDE” on the door. it’d make for a cute picture!

I think they do clash as table numbers. Looks great as a gift tag though! I picture something darker, non pink, and with a patina of some sort for the table numbers. Oooh, or some sort of stitched, fabric numbers would be perfect.

I agree, don’t like them with the shabby chic holders. they’d work by themselves or at the cake table. They look really hot with your pink & brown gift wrapping!

Sorry, I don’t think they go with the frames very well, either. But I do like them as gift tags. N’s “bride” sign idea is also cute. :-)

Give the flowergirl the letters to spell out her name as a present. :)

i like them as table numbers too but not in the frames - they are super cute!

You could also use them to spell out your name and hubby’s name to hang in the front of the room. =)

I liked them better as table numbers than on the gift tags. Your gift already has pink overload, in my opinion.

Ooh! Maybe you can use the letters on escort cards? If you buy more of them? Just stick the person’s table number on the card? That’s probably a waste of money haha, nm.

I like the “Bride” on the door idea. But you can also spell out “LOVE” on the cake table and sprinkle some rose petals on the table as well.

I like them as table numbers, but could you put the background in the frame and then hot glue the number to the outside of the glass? I think it would seem more like a shabby chic grouping of things instead of a “picture.” And it would be more sparkly and the hot glue would just peel off the glass later.
