Yay For Samples!

January 27th, 2007 @ 1:28 pm by Mrs. Emerald

After seeing Miss Lemon’s post about purchasing her beautiful Midori ribbon sash from Romantic Flowers, I’ve been itchin’ to order an ivory sash to go with my dress. I actually already purchased a champagne colored one from the bridal store, but my mom is very insistent on ivory, so I’ll let her win this battle. Besides, I figure ivory will look nice too. (Anyone need a champagne sash? It’s 10-12 ft long, 4 inches wide, very pretty, and retails for $50+. Will sell for $25 + shipping winky02.)

However, the only thing that has been holding me back is I’m not sure which color to order. We all know that colors show up differently on the monitor versus real life, and since I want the sash to match my dress, I need to get my hands on a sample (it would be easier if I was buying a sash in a contrasting color).

I emailed Romantic Flowers twice about the possibility of some sample swatches, but got no response. So, after a little google-sleuthing, I found this site which will send you samples of Midori ribbon! If you scroll all the way to the bottom, you’ll see the little email box to send them your info and which swatches you want. I would order from them too, but they only sell by the bolt (54.7 yards), and all I need is 3 yards for my sash.

Now I need to go home and hold them up against my dress, but I think I’ll order either Magnolia or Bone from Romantic Flowers.

One thing to note is that it took almost 2 weeks for these to arrive - I had almost given up on them! Hope this helps!

I am thinking about maybe just getting that 4 inch sash from you. can you contact me and tell me more about it (i.e- what kind of satin it is and if it is single or double sided ect. )If you could reply to me that would be great. Thanks!
